Authentication

The web service uses a Basic authentication scheme.   Username and password will be assigned when your account is setup.  Basic authentication info must be included in every request.  If it is missing, the service will not respond with an authentication challenge the way an interactive website would, it will simply return a 401 unauthorized error.  For testing purposes, you may use reach out to the Data Services team to have a testing credential set issued to you.
