Protocol

The Gateway web service uses a RESTful web service protocol. The Gateway communicates exclusively using SSL over HTTP. All URLs should specify HTTPS. Almost all Gateway methods described here that retrieve data should use the HTTP GET method. Exceptions to the GET method are noted where applicable.
